Immer nach Hause

Created as a solo project, Immer nach Hause examines the relationship between Germans and their forests through the lens of Wandern; a word which translates as hiking in English, but whose German roots stem back to the Romantic era when poets, artists, composers, and writers turned to nature to find self-actualisation.

Set in the Göttingen landscape, Immer nach Hause, pays homage to the centuries of history that have shaped how the locals use and relate to their forests, and how Wandern has become a cornerstone of German cultural identity.

Birthing on Country

Birthing on Country examines the issue of institutional racism within the Australian health system through the voices of four women who work within the midwifery field. Created as an educational tool, this documentary aims to raise awareness about the poorer health outcomes experienced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women as a result of the systemic racism in health care.

Birthing on Country also intends to highlight where and how improvements can be made to the medical field that would cater appropriately to the cultural, spiritual, and medical needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women; and why Indigenous midwives are a key part to improving health outcomes for Indigenous women and their children.

Ellessdee

An experimental first year project, Ellessdee plays with rhythmic cutting, colour and absurdist elements to explore how a narrative can be told through non-conventional means.
